automation and ROI calculator
How many hours do you spend each month on orders, invoices, labels and stock sync – and at what software cost does automation pay off? The calculator only works with your assumptions and shows several scenarios instead of a promise.
Result
The new software pays off from 13 % time saving. At 30 % saving it could cost up to €348 per month.
Scenarios: result per month
Calculation: (orders × minutes + channels × minutes per week × 4.33) ÷ 60 = hours per month. Result = hours saved × hourly rate − additional software costs.
How the result is calculated
The monthly time spent is orders times minutes of manual work per order plus the weekly maintenance effort per sales channel. Your hourly rate turns this into an amount. The time saving is an assumption you set yourself – the calculator also shows scenarios with 10, 25, 50 and 75 %.
From the amount saved, we deduct the additional cost of the new software compared with your current one. The break-even shows the time saving from which the new solution pays off.
Finding realistic assumptions
For one week, measure how long you need for order import, invoices, shipping labels, status updates and stock sync. Many providers offer free trials – compare the time there with your current process. Calculate conservatively: setup, training and special cases cost extra time at the beginning.
Frequently asked questions
How much time does inventory management software save?
That depends heavily on your current process. We deliberately don't give blanket percentages. Use the providers' free trials to measure your own saving and enter it here.
Which software costs should I enter?
The monthly costs for your volume including order fees and add-ons. Our software comparison calculates them for Billbee, Colly.io, JTL, plentyONE and Xentral.
Are setup costs taken into account?
Not automatically. You can spread one-off costs over twelve months and add them to the monthly software costs.
